Bret Siebert - My Story
“Years ago, I lost everything and had to start over from scratch. Home...career...finances...lost it all. When tragedy strikes you have a choice to make...mine was to survive. To do so, I had to look at myself and the world around me differently.
One thing I realized, is that I have an insatiable drive to leave something better than when I first touched it. I learned it from my dad. He always told me if I borrowed something to return it in better condition. "People will know that they made a good decision to trust you and you'll earn more opportunity". I didn't realize this spilled over into my career, until working through my resume.
Years back, while attempting to land a Pharma job, I needed to rewrite my resume. I racked my brain in an attempt to highlight and list all various strengths and successes I've had throughout my career so I could look amazing! What started as an arduous task to create a document, turned out to reveal my unique ability in business.
I caught a glimpse of my career DNA. I'm a helper. In the last 30 years, regardless of role or title, I've helped organizations experience health. Not by just improving sales or fulfilling tasks, but helping to create a flourishing working environment. My ability to take a step back, critique the ecosystem of an organization and challenge the status quo provides the necessary spark for creative change, growth and ultimately profit financially.
Asking the tough questions that others are afraid to ask. Work to understand what is actually happening in the organization. Understanding so that problems are not just acknowledged, but prepped and framed for solutions. Finding pragmatic solutions, that are attainable and profitable is my end game. It's what I'm meant to do...and I love it!
So for doctors and medical professionals, I fix business problems so they can focus on fixing people and practice medicine.” - Bret Siebert
